About AppraiserChris

A family appraisal practice built around careful work and clear communication.

Christine Pyle-Banks and Christopher Pyle bring decades of combined residential appraisal experience throughout the Sierra Nevada foothills and surrounding Northern California markets.

Two generations. One practice.

Christine provides senior appraisal oversight, long-standing regional knowledge, and extensive experience across residential property types and professional assignments. Christopher leads much of the research, field work, report development, market analysis, and client communication that drives the day-to-day practice.

The work often involves more than tract-home comparison: rural acreage, older homes, manufactured housing, unusual improvements, retrospective dates, wildfire-affected markets, estate matters, divorce, litigation, and properties where the comparable search has to expand before the market begins to make sense.

Care is part of professional competence.

Many private appraisal clients are navigating death, divorce, family conflict, litigation, tax questions, or a major financial decision. Technical independence matters. So does explaining the process, responding when someone is uncertain, and remembering that the appraisal may be only one small part of a much larger life event.
